On 31 May, MDF Myanmar and project partners celebrated the opening of the newly established Food Processing Classroom at NEED (Network for Environmental and Economic Development). The Food Processing Classroom was constructed as part of the Orange Knowledge Project 'Strengthen Education & Research in Agriculture', funded by NUFFIC and implemented by Aeres University of Applied Sciences, Wageningen University & Research, MDF Training & Consultancy and Fresh Studio.
Besides the fully equipped and solar powered Food Processing Classroom, NEED also developed their food processing course curriculum, which will be used to train young farmers and small business owners from around the country to increase their income generating opportunities.
We thank all project partners, and especially the colleagues from NEED, for their hard work, commitment and perseverance to make this happen in a short timeframe and under challenging circumstances.
