As we delve deeper into writing winning proposals, it is important to note that only talking about what your project will do, will not convince many people. Talking about what your project strives to achieve - because of these activities - is much more convincing!
To be convincing you need to be very clear on what complex societal issue your project will tackle and how this will be done. How do you do this? Develop a Theory of Change or a Results Chain! This helps you structure, in a logical order, what Impact your project aims to contribute, what Outcome or changes the project will likely influence at the level of the project beneficiaries and stakeholders, and what Outputs the project will deliver.
So, are you familiar with the difference between outputs and outcomes? What make something an activity? What is the impact of your project?
Test your knowledge of the Results Chain with this small quiz!
