Think of that team member who always gets on your nerves: she always submits messy reports, and meanwhile she always seems to be so busy chatting to her colleagues at the coffee machine. Meanwhile, you end up revising all her work to make sure the report is at least presentable! It’s a source of daily frustration, but what can you do about it?
On 17 October 2018 at 12 (CET), MDF is hosting a free online seminar on leadership and people management. In this webinar, we will introduce how an insight into your qualities and pitfalls can help you become a better leader.
To help you understand your behaviour and the behaviour of others, MDF uses DISC. This tool provides a common language which helps you to understand and adapt your behaviour to different people and contexts. DISC was founded by William Moulton Marston in the 1930s. He developed the theory while doing research for his book The Emotions of Normal People in which he aimed at identifying predictable traits and behaviours of everyday people in different environments. In this webinar, we’d like to introduce you to the basics of DISC and share some insights on where those daily frustrations could come from.
Join this live webcast to learn the basics of DISC, and get a sense of your own qualities ánd pitfalls as a manager.
It does not matter where you are based – you can join us online! If you are interested to join, please send an email to Lisa Freiburg at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions and registration to the online platform.
