Heineken is a world-famous Dutch beer brewer. It has opened a factory in Myanmar in 2015, which employs more than 200 local individuals.
As Heineken recently opened its branch in Myanmar, they have recruited many new staff members for their team. Their marketing team is responsible for promoting the international brand. Therefore, in order to be efficient internally as a team and represent Heineken effectively externally, there are certain professional skills that are required.
MDF Training & Consultancy developed a training programme that allowed the Heineken marketing team to reflect on the meaning of ‘business etiquette’, and to practice with various related skills. The program included sessions on providing feedback, email etiquette, chairing and attending meetings, pitching and self-presentation, and leadership styles.
The marketing team is now aware of the importance of professional behaviour in work situations and has developed skills to professionally present themselves, write in a professional style, provide feedback to their colleagues, and chair meetings.
